Wow, I have been a slacker recently - or at least it would seem so given that it's been almost a month since my last post. Can I blame chicken pox (smallest daughter), half term and the jubilee bank holiday and all the planning and decision making for an imminent building project that will mean moving out of our house for at least 8 weeks?
On the subject of the jubilee, how much do I want one of these - a Pantone Queen in all her resplendent glory?
Rather terrifyingly (and anyone who has seen my sewing room will understand this) said building project also requires me to pack up my sewing room in order to allow the builders access to the floor boards and pipes and what ever else it is they need to access. I'm virtually blocking the thought, even though I know it has to be done and will probably be very beneficial (and cathartic) in all sorts of ways. And, by packing everything away, hopefully I won't be picking dust and debris out of everything for the foreseeable future!
So, as of 25 June, I'll be limiting myself to one table, one sewing machine, and a single box of fabric and threads. I've just finished another house commission (pictures to follow in the next couple of posts), and I've got another five lined up to keep me busy - I'm hoping that working on buildings of the textile sort will keep me sane whilst all else is in total confusion...
